Anthropic, the flagship AI company, has inadvertently exposed the source code for its major CLI tool Claude Code. It has already been extracted with mirrors published on GitHub. Chaofan Shou announced the discovery on X. “Claude Code source code has been leaked via a map file in their npm registry!” the user posted.

A top Anthropic PBC executive expects Cowork to reach a wider market than Claude Code, with stronger adoption in the first few weeks than Claude Code had a year ago.

In it, in addition to details on how Claude Code handles API requests and tokens, were details for features that have yet to be announced by Anthropic.
