Firefighters from the #RFS and FRNSW, supported by aircraft have contained a bush fire which was burning under high voltage powerlines in the vicinity of Ku-ring-gai Chase Rd, Mount Colah. Thanks to the swift action of firefighters, the fire only burnt through a small stretch of bushland before being contained. Our crews will remain on scene throughout the afternoon, strengthening containment lines and blacking out any hotspots. Under the current weather conditions, fires can start and escalate
