Paramedic Services Week 2019

Paramedics are celebrating Paramedic Services Week by sharing an important safety message, recognizing this year's national theme, "Always in Service". In 2010, Nova Scotia stepped up its efforts to protect paramedics and other emergency personnel with legislation, limiting drivers' speed when passing stopped emergency vehicles. Motorists are required to slow down to 60 kilometres per hour or the posted speed limit if it is less, when passing a stopped emergency vehicle with its lights flashing.
